Join us for a summer soiree to support The Positive Vibe Foundation.

Are you hungry to gather, grub and give back? On Saturday, July 15, we are excited to introduce our inaugural, food-focused signature event: Positively Delicious.  You are invited to join us at the Faison Center for a night anchored by the community and uplifted by culinary excellence.  The star-studded cast of chefs has been curated by pioneering restaurateur and community change-maker, Jason Alley in partnership with Executive Director Michele Jones, both previously of Richmond restaurant staples Comfort and Pasture.  The evening will be emceed by Robey Martin and Scott Wise, the duo behind the Eat It, Virginia! podcast. Experience dishes from culinary heavy-hitters from near and far including creative cocktails from mixologist Beth Dixon and wine selections from author, winemaker and sommelier Andre Mack, the first Black person to be named Best Young Sommelier in America who has a resume that includes The French Laundry and Per Se. This will be the one event you won't want to miss!

Jason Alley

Jason Alley has been voted best chef in Richmond 10 years in a row.  Formerly of Pasture, Comfort and Bingo and currently founding partner in Alley/Jones Hospitality. He currently serves on the Positive Vibe Foundation Board of Directors.

Owner of River Bear American Meats in Denver, Colorado.  His family of restaurants in Denver include Old Major, Masterpiece Delicatessen, Culture Meat & Cheese, Rocky Mountain Charcuterie and The Royal Rooster.

Owner of Orchard Point Oyster Company. Stephen is a true-jack-of-all-trades.  He joined OPOC in spring of 2021 bringing years of experience as a charter yacht captain, Exec Chef at Mohonk Mt. House and farming oysters in Great Bay NJ.

Asian and West-African influences.” Lindsey co-runs all seven of his Richmond based restaurants with his wife Kimberly Love-Lindsey.

First African-American named Best Young Sommelier in America.  Formerly sommelier at Thomas Keller’s renowned French Laundry and head sommelier at Per Se.

David Guas

David is a chef, TV personality, restaurateur and cookbook author from New Orleans.  Owner of Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery in Arlington, Virginia, which opened in 2010, Guas has garnered national praise in publications like Food & Wine, Southern Living, Garden & Gun, Saveur, and Bon Appétit for showcasing the soul of the South in his sinfully delicious, Louisiana-style favorites and signature desserts.

Beth Dixon

Beth is the sole proprietor of Salt and Acid, where she focuses on cocktail classes, menu consulting, bar staff training and private events. She is known for her shrubs and high acid cocktails. She currently serves as

President for the Richmond, VA chapter of the United States Bartenders’ Guild, and as a Northeast Regional Representative for the National Council of Chapters.

James and Mike came together to pay homage to Philly and South Jersey hoagie classics. Before opening Stanley's, Kohler and Epps trekked north for further edible R&D, paying the godfathers of hoagies a visit in hopes of capturing the nostalgic, no-frills magic of those sandwich institutions and replicating it here in Richmond.

Alex is the Executive Chef at Natalie’s Taste of Lebanon in Richmond, VA. Besides sharing his passion for Mediterranean Cuisines, he works closely with a diverse staff of varying backgrounds and abilities and is passionate about developing leaders in the hospitality industry. Natalie’s strives to share the cuisine and culture of Lebanon with Richmond.
